Aren't they sweet? X3 Well, Sherlock is never a soap opera. It never will. It is all about action, crime but all of us can't deny that there's more than just friendship between them. Best friend and more like brothers. It's platonic. So, in short, I love the way Gatiss and Morfat bring us to see Sherlock's stories from another view. ^^

I like this song a lot, and I love Johnlock. It's there, but it's just beginning to dawn on them. What I like about this video is that it can work either way. John's thinking that, while he does get married, nobody will ever love him quite the way Sherlock did. Sherlock, though, could be thinking that John was the only person who truly accepted him for who he was, and while he might try to think that he'll find another John, he knows he won't. It's an incredibly sand and wonderful video.

This is perfect! This paired with the fact that if John does indeed find a wife it'd be terribly depressing.....but it all the more reminds me that John is Sherlock's heart and vice versa, nobody can replace either one of them. :')

Get ahold of "Sherlock Holmes, The Complete Novels and Stories, Vol. I and II by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle... in the story "The Final Problem" you will find John married. Then in later in the same book you will find a section called The Return of Sherlock Holmes and in it a story called "The Empty House" this is where Sherlock returns after his three year absence. They've done fabulous so far with the shows, I hope the next ones continue so. I'm a huge Cumberbatch fan and a lifelong Sherlock fan.

Yeah, he gets in a marriage of convenience to Mrs. Hudson because she's the only one who understands his relationship with Sherlock- although she's supposed to be younger in the books. The image of Mrs. Hudson as an old woman came from the television series later. And all three retire to Sussex at the end of the series :)

john gets married in the first or second book...so either the study in scarlett or the sign of the four. I'd say it's a study in scarlett though. I just had a look in wiki...and somehow it seems that he gets married more than once? o.O didn't know that (haven't read everything yet) - I guess it will always only be sherlock for him, really ;)

@@sell8789 I don't remember such a book. I only heart something about John Watson was married a second time after Mary died, but his second wife was never mentioned in the stories. I remember only Mary Morstan. May be John Watson was never married to another woman after Mary. But eight times? Never. He also wasn't married to Mrs. Hudson. I don't remember such thing, honestly. And I know the most stories and also the Granada Holmes adaptation, which was very close to the original stories by Conan Doyle. Very strange, really.

Actually, it makes a lot of sense. There is no intimate future for Sherlock and John any more than there is an intimate future for Molly and Sherlock. One party is just not into it. I think it would ruin the theme of the series - that real love transcends sexual expression, blood relationship or length of a relationship. Those other relationships are real and important, but none of them are requirements for real love. Sherlock will learn to cope with John's marriage - BTW - John's wife dies.
