i’m a photography major and boy i’ve got thoughts about that first photo, first off, TOOO saturated. the dark values are too strong. if you looked at the histogram it would be so skewered (not good). at least the white in the milk isn’t blown out ig. don’t get me wrong, the idea is great, the photo looks good! having a shallow depth of field looks “fancier”, and pushing the shutter speed so you can capture the milk being poured like it’s standstill is great. he knows some tech stuff. but he was wayyy over editing lol

What I don't like about his vids is that he does edit them afterwards, so some photo settings are useless, if I have to edit the pic in the end. I want easy tips to make good pics and send them off right away and not take hours making presets and editing a simple pic, which is meant to update my friends.

2:46 why does the coffee lowkey look like some delicious broth, or am I just hungry TWT anyways, as an artist I play around with colors and saturations all the time, first thing I noticed is that the darker values are way too high, the balance in colors aren’t working together at all, see how the coffee looks way to shaded next to the milk? I can see he tried to go for a little bit of a more vintage look but it honestly looks like you just played with the settings (because he did) if he wanted to improve he needs to figure out his lights and darks and how they should work in harmony not against each other.
