This could have been my theme song many years ago. I was crazy about a guy I had known for years. We started as friends, but realized we were in love. He went away to Vietnam for 13 months and came back a different person. He didn't care about me or about anything. He joined an outlaw motorcycle gang which I wanted no part of. This really broke my heart and took a long time to get over. A few weeks after I last saw him, I met my husband who I married a year later. My big love showed up outside the church on a motorcycle wearing a German helmet. After that he would show up any place he thought I might be. Guess he had his regrets. I have heard from a mutual friend that he had a leg amputated from a motorcycle accident. I wish him well, but that's it.
