In New York City, rents are so expensive the best way to save money is to live in a place like this. After all, living in NYC is more than just an apartment, even if its not what you’re used to. I think this place is great.

Yikes. 4K for what looks like hacked together spaces without a single closet in any of them. I feel like this landlord/lady is only willing to do the absolute bare minimum and it would be a constant struggle to get anything fixed or maintained properly.

Morning, Cash! All these places were pleasant enough, but seem a bit overpriced for the lack of finishing touches. I used to rent a studio in a former tile factory. It was simple but in better shape than these units. All the units were about 25' by 25', most had sleeping lofts due to the 12 foot ceilings, and there were huge warehouse windows with wonderful light and separate kitchens. The small bathrooms had spooky shower stalls--you could push the top up and off and crawl into a Narnian space shared with the shower stall from next door. Best part: $450/month. I always find it so reassuring when you say, "see you soon." Have a good day!

They also show how much effort is put into graffiti by city residents. Look at the tagging at the top of multi-story brick buildings! Most jurisdictions require food trucks have a "commissary"; sort of a base of operations where food can be stored, waste water and grease disposed of, etc. Small restaurants make some extra money charging the truck owners to use their restaurants as the truck's "commissary". That is probably what is happening here.

When I hear the word "rustic" I think of something that's been slapped together, given a high price value for more then it's worth, but, it isn't. What I see here is a run down place where it will cost more for the renter in heating and cooling bills, even though, it maybe bright during some days but more often than not New York is cloudy, raining, dark and depressing AF, lighting these "rustic" places will drive the electric bill eve higher and you will feel like you're living in a basement in the middle of no where during the night, as a New Yorker who now lives in a warmer climate, I've been to places like these, even lived in a few, I can you tell that living in dusty, drafty places like this will compromise your health, both physically and mentally later on in life. This is by no means a dig at you Mr. Cash, no, I like your videos, I like how you put a positive spin on every showing, I commend you on that, I respect that. Keep up the good work at brighting up peoples days with your videos. Peace.

The one thing I question though, is why they couldn't have just used all that extra space in the bathroom for the sleeping area. They could have just made it one wall with a door at the end of it rather than that weird nook type entrance. Other than that I really liked the feel of the place.

4,000 a month to that crap. You got better offers in Manhattan. Better looking for cheater than that . In a Creepy basement to go do your laundry. Hope Jason or Freddy Krueger doesn’t come out. Both apts manager by greedy landlords .

Hi cash, very interesting Vlog in NYC. The shed turned into an apt is great. The price is high. At least the shed has lots of cabinets and has some good space to live in. Stay well and safe 👍

The big red pipe is most likely is a sprinkler system for fire from the original building set up. At least the is what it is for in Minneapolis. Or it could be steam heat for the building. It is so that people know it is hot.

I hope the landlord requires an injury waiver with that ladder..Use at your own risk. The area has changed so much. My Grandparents lived on Jefferson Street between Wilson and Knickerbocker Avenue.

@@vincentgoupil180 Yes, I grew up near the park as well when it was Knickerbocker Park. Went there over 2 years ago. All has changed except Circo's bakery is still there.

Second apt was the best, is rent cheaper if you are street level? Parking for 200.00 extra, kind of weird parking area. Found that sink sprayer great job! 👍

I was at that glamfest and at the Drag show across the street . I guess I just missed you . The Wyckoff area of Bushwick is fun. Bad bagel is pretty good Also. Thanks Cash . The Queen restaurant was the venue for the drag show .
