Ok, absolutely no joke, I have otherwise seen all three of the men in Algebra Guy's videos (seen here (4:30)). All three of them were instructors for the remote learning service my high school uses. It's called "Edgenuity." Simply put, it lets you purchase online courses that utilize a linear selection of prerecorded instruction videos for lecture, rather than a live teacher. It has a strange tendency of switching around the instructors in the videos for no apparent reason, though some are far more consistent and those that vanish typically show up again in later videos. All three of these men were instructors for the Algebra ll course I took. This guy (5:00) in particular was in the bulk of the videos, while the face of Algebra Guy himself (2:20) and the last guy (5:26) were both in only a couple. I think that's even the same background from the videos. ... Who knew I was being taught mathematics by ranking members of a deep web tech cult.

Like aside from the more larpy aspects of their political praxis, I do think it'd be a good thing to open up these spaces to more people from differing backgrounds. Plus I know that something like that would've helped me when I was a teenager trying to learn about computers.
