hi what is the thickest the dough can be rolled out. I can't seem to find it. im going to use for donut dough and I need a thickness of about 3/4 ''- 1 ' will that do it thank you
@EasyFreezerMeals3 жыл бұрын
I think 3/4 - 1 inch is about max size. The opening is just a touch bigger than that..
@classicalbean2 жыл бұрын
what are the setting by the handle? Do they indicate in mm the thickness of the dough or a relative measure? Thank you.

What is the measurement for the widest setting? And how tall is the opening in the back where the dough is fed through?
@EasyFreezerMeals4 жыл бұрын
Just noticed your message. Let me go measure: It seems that the widest setting is about 2cm (a little over 3/4 inch) and the opening is about 3cm (a little over an inch).

@DiamondManos5 жыл бұрын
I'm thinking about getting one of these. Is it possible to use without dusting the stainless steel at the entrance? Or can you use oil instead of flour to prevent the dough from sticking?
@EasyFreezerMeals5 жыл бұрын
This is a great unit. By far the best one I've ever used. It's meant to be kept dry at all times. even when cleaning it, so I don't think using oil would be a good idea. What it comes down to is your dough. If your dough has a high moisture content or fat content then you will probably have to dust with something. Corn starch, AP flour, rice flour, tapioca starch, things like that. But if your dough is very dry you can possibly run it dry.

would this model work good for pepperoni rolls? what about a unit that has two rollers that are at an angle?
@EasyFreezerMeals4 жыл бұрын
The Unit with the 2 rollers would be better. This would work but you would have to roll it once the adjust the size , turn the dough, then roll it again..
@clintlightell44424 жыл бұрын
manufacture is saying that this should do my three ounce Ball of dough in one pass. Our pepperoni rolls need to be about an 1/8" thick and rolled out to about a 7'x4.5" slab. what do you think about that. will I achieve that in as single pass?
@EasyFreezerMeals4 жыл бұрын
@@clintlightell4442 I guess it depends on what your thickness is and what the moisture content of your dough is. From my experience with this unit (and don't get me wrong I love it. It's been a great machine for our business) is that the first pass generally makes the shape oblong. When you turn your dough 1/4 turn and pass it again on a lower setting it makes the shape round. A round shape with that thickness on the first pass might be a bit much.
@Tiffssweetspot3 жыл бұрын
How do you clean it??
@EasyFreezerMeals3 жыл бұрын
you just wipe it down with a dry rag. If you are using it for fondant or it gets really dirty you'll wipe all the loose flour off then with a lightly damp cloth clean the rest. The front cover comes off and the rollers can open wide. Other than the front section the rest of the unit stays pretty clean..
