I wish I could compute in my mind how to drum , it looks a bit like rubbing your stomach and patting your head whilst trying to keep up a football all at the same time , maybe for 20 seconds I can rub my stomach and pat my belly , but then I lose the pattern and it all goes to pieces. I love smacking my knees like a drummer to songs but none of it is in time , and when I get the rhythm of it , I sing or start enjoying it and then it goes and I can't get thr rythmn again for a few minutes. I know everything is practice and it's about learning , but I just can't compute my mind to even tap the beat let alone smack 5 or 6 different things. Massive level 42 fan , and this was flawless. I think you have to be born with something to do drumming , there has to be part of the brain that works for some and others just can't do it. It's like words to songs , I can sing OK and know the words fully to thousands of songs as the record is playing , take that away though and I can't remember the words. I'm always in awe of musicians and singers , I can sing in tune , but I can't do karaoke for fear of forgetting the words or the timing of the words, even though I've sang the song thousands of times in my life. I reckon it's something to do with the two sides of the brain and how it all connects and I just think that I'm missing the connection of the brain that can memorise and keep time. Excellent playing though , I do enjoy watching someone who can do it well
