Every now and then a song comes at just the right time. I have never heard this song before, I simply typed in "As You Sleep" into google. This song, at this moment is that for me right now. A very precious girl is sleeping in the other room, we just met yet hit it off very well, but I may have to move away in less than 3 weeks. I rarely let people into my heart, but this girl is special. No matter what happens I won't forget you Liz. You are a great person and am very glad we met each other.

You know, I used to listen to Something Corporate when I was younger. Tonight me and my boyfriend were listening to our silly childhood songs and I played this for him, and it's just beautiful. Still. I am so glad that I still have an appreciation for music that influenced me in my youth, and that I can be proud of that. Great song, great version.

This song reminds me of the girl I'm currently dating right now. We met each other in a bar, she was a friend of a friend and in that night we really hit it off. We were playing spin the bottle and we ended up getting dared to kiss each other and looking back at it, It felt quite magical . Granted at the time, I thought she was a playgirl and didn't thought about it too hard. Few days later, whilst I was swiping through Tinder I ended up seeing her and we ended up matching. We then proceeded to talk there and have decided to hook up. Again, I didn't mind at all cause I'm still in that headspace of her being a playgirl and thought that it wouldn't be anything serious. A few more hookups with her later, she began to slowly express her feelings towards me. This scared me off so much because I was scared of her past. I believed she had a lot of baggage and I believed that I wasn't ready for all of that, I simply couldn't commit to it. I could have decided to stop but I didn't. Sex aside, she was a wonderful person. We really clicked, she was fun to converse to. Our humor was matching, she was genuinely interested in me and wasn't scared of letting me know that. Instead of hookups, we began slowly going into dates (Eating out together, Watching movies together whether it be being on discord or in real life, Just hanging out overall). And I slowly started to realize that I'm starting to feel attached. I cant help it after all she was really being good to me and I feel her intentions are clear. With this going on for a few months, she started to be scared that nothing will come out of this situation between us. This is all my fault because I was beating around the bush a lot and I tend to be confused on what do I really want. This is the time where we would often Video Call each other as we slept. And this song really reminds me of that. After an argument relating with the direction of our relationship. I decided to ask my parents regarding her. Living in a traditional household scared me that she wouldn't be accepted but I had to do it because I simply love my parents and I could no longer keep her a secret from them. She was hesitant at first but I told her that Its the right thing to do. In order to fully commit to her, I wanted my parents’ blessings. As we both expected, my parents was against it and have told me to no longer see her or contact her. Apparently her past would be too much for me to handle and that I would be better off pursuing some other girls that are much safer. I was devastated, not just because of the outcome but I'm scared that this would break her and it did. This caused a lot of pain, especially for her. She keeps on blaming herself and her recklessness in the past but the way I see it is, its us that's not being fair to her. She doesn't deserve this, I just wished my parents gave her a chance but they didn't. We decided to stop, but we couldn't stop ourselves from talking, we've gotten so used with each other that it seems impossible now. I could just walk away and neglect my parents' decision but I couldn't bring myself to do that. I love them so much and they mean so much to me but this is so fucking unfair. The universe is royally unfair to her. I still don't know what will be of us. Right now I am watching her cry herself to sleep as I listen to this song. I know she's hurting a lot right now and I wish I could do anything to stop it. The lines "Don't you wake up yet, cause I'll be leaving you soon." hit really hard because I'll be leaving this city soon for my work. And after I leave, there's a big chance that we might stop our lines of communication. All I could do right now is to just watch her sleep and I just wish I still have more time to spend with her before the inevitable happens. Stephanie if you're reading this, thank you so much for everything. You were such a blessing. You're the one who taught me how to love myself again. In times where I thought I wasn't enough, you prove time and time again how much more of a person I am. I thought that romance wasn't meant for people like me but damn you proved me wrong. I just wished our lives wasn't so different and complicated. I wish I wasn't such a coward. I wish I have met you sooner. I have a lot of wishes but none if it matters because I couldn't be there for you. You're officially my biggest plot twist ever. My could have been. I hope to meet you in the future, where were both happy and we can look back at this with us laughing and reminiscing the times we've spent together. I love watching you sleep and please don't wake up just yet.

Man, it's been about eight months since i've experienced Andrew's voice. I can't believe this song is from 2003. That was eight years ago. I feel so bad, we're all getting older, and so is Andrew. I hope his voice stays beautiful. I also miss the rock music ten years ago. Whatever happened to all the punk rock and alt. rock bands from so cal that made such nice music? Now we have Katy Perry representing So Cal. I can't wait for Andrew's new album this summer. Hopefully J.M. will save me again.

Me too the same year. I was the girl who asked if he’d kiss me. He’d say “I have a gf but you can kiss me” and he let me… on the cheek, as he spun me around. Then they all signed my shirt I’d bought. Man, I was HOOKED! I spent the rest of my life loving everything Andrew wrote and had “everything in transit” tattooed on my left arm so people could see it when I played their songs. I’m now almost 36 and sing this song to my son Jax as he falls asleep. Everything they write is so entrancing. It’s the piano for me sis!lmfao 🤪
