debatable, but i could not pick a "definite" good version. i do like 1.16.5 a lot but i hold early 1.x release and mid-late beta close to my heart, a big reason for that being a late family member. the "best version" is highly based on nostalgic and/or preferences though, so it differs between person for various reasons.
