Great review Senior Hiker 77! I use both a Govee and a Thermodrop. The Govee outside if it's not raining and the Thermadrop in my Duomid. Also I keep the Thermadrop near me when I'm sitting at camp. That way I don't have to check my phone to see what the temperature is. I keep the Thermadrop turned off most of the time, which saves battery life, although as I recall the battery life is 2,000 hours, and by turning if off at least once a day you can press the button for 5 seconds and it gives you the high and the low for the past 24 hours. One advantage with the Govee is the ability to track the temperature during the day, especially when the temp is falling during the day or when the temp is getting warmer during the night.

Haha, I relate to becoming the weatherman in cold weather for the same reasons. That's a nice setup Senior. Thanks for sharing this. I've tried to like a quilt but a sleeping bag IS warmer and I can unzip and use like a quilt if I want. Even if the bottom of it is compressed it's still warmer. Have a wonderful 2024 ✌

You might know this trick for cold feet. A USAF survival school trainer said your feet should be as dry as possible before getting in the bag. He would dry his before the fire for up to 30 minutes. I just use a towel to dry before putting on clean heavy wool socks which works pretty well for me.

I bought one last year after seeing it on another channel and it took me awhile to actually use it. Now I love it. Went camping last night and it got down into the 20's, but in our tent it was 46°. I like that you can go back and see different temps at different times, as well as the dew point and humidity. Great product! Got it instead of the thermodrop as it was cheaper, and very glad I did!

Happy New Year my friend. I like the idea of the Bluetooth with the continuous trending. I have the Therma-drop and agree that if you don't turn it off the battery dies pretty quick. Plus you can only get a high and a low, but thats only for the time that its been on, so if you don't remember to reset it, its useless.

Happy New Year! Looks like a useful item. I’ve got the teardrop, and I can never remember how many times to push the button. Happy New Year! This kind of gear is surprisingly useful and gives a good idea about the conditions both outside and inside the tent. And that is a good thing when planning the next trip as you can learn better from each trip! But just a 3 degree difference between the inside and outside of the tent? I would have imagined it to be more, but this is where technology can help us:) Hope you will have many good and warm adventures this year! All the best, Ant
