Hey, every fandom has their embarrassments. ITZY handled the situation perfectly. US crowds are going to be more rowdy than a Korean one, but that didn't shake them, even though they had to combat that in a 2nd language. So they were prepared for hacklers and whatnot. I don't really think any more time should be wasted on a drunk moron, instead we should focus our love and support to the girls, especially Chaeryeong and Ryujin.

@@xxliaz9068 Well multiple deaths happened in the USA recently in a similar manner where people were trampled to death, at a concert no less.. These are things we should be aware of while at concerts. Not only do you have to look out for yourself, but you also must look out for others. Especially people smaller, shorter, and lighter weight, as they will be the first ones to get crushed in a crowd rush and will need help quick. The shirt is not a big deal... the same company. However, his drunken rude behavior is a no-no. Apparently, he is an Itzy fan because he had stage-side seating which is normally the most expensive ticket. Good job Itzy for being professionals! Just wanted to add that I have seen people from other fandoms use their lightsticks at other Kpop concerts to show support. Not everyone can afford to get extra merch, especially after getting a ticket.

Their English improved so much omg and also that guy..The guy may have a different intention but still he shouldn't have cursed and said that, it sounded like he wanted to leave. And to be honest, his situation wearing a different group's shirt is similar to bringing other group's lightsick to a concert, which in my opinion, I don't think it's nice. personally,not a Korean nor American, i think the problem here is the cultural difference... some Koreans are not getting used to American slang word so what Ryujin did was okay. It is not a big deal to tell your "fan" to watch their words in public and also wearing another group shirt 8s not being rude,maybe thats his 1st other group concert he attended, so Chaeryeong handled it in a sweet way. I’m not sure what you’re asking. It’s not American culture to be drunk. Korean culture arguably is more into drinking. I don’t see the problem with bringing a different group lightstick as long as it doesn’t stand out either! like carat bong, or army bomb, ateez lightstick, straykids, they all look like a ball of light from a distance. but that doesn’t work with itzy because the light ring is so distinct that any other light stick would stand out! The main issue was the guy was drunk and cursing at them. That’s not cool. Disrupting people around him and ruining their concert experience 😞

Okay… let me clear this up. What the guy really meant to say was “let’s go”, but because ITZY is a k-pop group, they might not know American slang words like we do. He was NOT demanding the girls to go, it’s slang format for alright, or great. Again, they don’t know slang words like we do here in America. Therefore, because he was drunk, his brain wasn’t operating clearly, so that was wrong. What also was wrong was for the crowd to act rudely at him, just because he was wearing a different shirt. So, depending on his behavior, it would be somewhere in between.

I think the issue was the guy being a jerk rather than wearing a different group's shirt, especially a fellow JYP group. Had he been wearing an Itzy shirt and dropping F-bombs/being belligerent, then it still would've been an issue - Chaeryoung was quick enough to think on the fly to bring it up and along with Ryujin help diffuse/bring humor into the awkward situation ✊ I went to the Dallas concert wearing my Twice shirt, as did other Midzys. It actually was a nice icebreaker with the fellow Midzy next to my group, since we got to chat about how awesome the Twice show was, as well as how excited we were to see Itzy. Others wore Blackpink, Monsta X, and other group shirts along with Itzy's, so it was a chill Kpop love fest in general. There is kind of an amusing/half-joking stigma in some circles, saying you shouldn't wear the merch of the artist or band you're seeing perform, but good luck ever applying that to Kpop 😄

Understandable, that's exactly how drunk guys behave at concerts here, especially at open ground concert ( outdoor ). Outdoor could be somewhat brutal at time with festival, there be massive crowds tossing people in the air and around, if you among the front crowds you must lift your hand up and bare some of the weight. Indoor they behave very well though, the drunk guy kind of out of his mind so he be saying that "let's go", meaning why is it stopping, he wants to music to keep going so he could be drowning in it.

Because at the previous show, there were people that brought in BTS lightsticks and things like that. Really ruins the feeling of everybody there being Midzy. Which then ruins the show a bit because they will address the crowd as Midzy and if you're waving a BTS lightstick you're putting yourself out of that group of people and it doesn't make sense to change it to "Midzy and everybody else make some noise!" And they want to create an overall environment of Mitzys enjoying time together with other Midzy and Itzy. Not to mention that the company that runs BTS and JYP are in competition with each other for fans. Not to mention going to an Itzy concert and waving a BTS lightstick is kinda like promoting BTS at an Itzy show...
@michaelyenzee
@michaelyenzee 2 жыл бұрын
oh for real? well yeah, that makes sense if they brought BTS merch with them. But I would think that fans of other JYP groups would also be Midzys as well, on some level or another. But yeah, that's understandable
@Sidicas

@@hepteropterix Well there is more to the lightsticks. The Twice ones are specifically made with the colors of the Twice members so you set it to your favorite twice member's color using bluetooth on your phone to cheer for them and they see it and come over to your area. Especially if you are relatively close to the stage it really matters because they will specifically spot people out in the crowd with their color and wave to you, pose for you, or come over and say Hi. . I don't know if Itzy has a similar thing as I didn't buy their lightstick, and I don't know their colors, but I might on the next tour.

C'mon, maybe the guy was super excited and a little tipsy so he screamed a very common word that isn't really inappropriate. Ryujin was excellent to calm him down because there's a very large variety of ages in their audience concerts. And it's a Twice shirt! like he probably was trying to be supportive with what he had. I can't imagine Twice getting mad at someone with an Itzy shirt at their concert, if anything it would be appreciated. Nothing worth to mention really but the concerts in itself.

There's a clear cultural difference that has to be taken into consideration. The expression he used is what a lot of people in the states say in excitement at concerts, festivals, and sporting events. Itzy members curse, so it's awkward to watch them scold this fan. If he was such a nuisance, security should've intercepted him. Also, don't serve alcohol if you don't want people to potentially get drunk. A lot of factors made this a cringey interaction.

I know that this isn’t JYP Entertainment to blame because this same thing would happen at Stray Kids, TWICE, and other concerts from JYP artists if they were responsible for the drinks being served. The staff at this venue are to blame because obviously they’re the ones who served the drinks. Nobody should be drinking at any concert period! Especially if it’s a concert where children will be around. Next time ITZY does another U.S. tour they should avoid this stadium in Phoenix or avoid Phoenix as a whole.

facts: drunk dude said "lets f***ing go" doesnt mean that itzy should literally go away, but instead it meant that itzy should sing more, dance more, and party more. its just an expression by humans that are so hyped to the point that they wanted MORE. and thats what we all yell "LETS GOOO!!!". drunk dude just put the f word bec he is really that hyped. and its kinda normal for americans, even some asians has that hyped personality, its just cute that even if its an expression, ryujin doesnt tolerate yelling f words that many can hear. like its a christian loving community lol. even ryeonchae when she pointed out the shirt and some fans booed the drunken man, ryeong indirectly stated that we shouldnt tolerate fan wars. and its beautiful. all thanks to that one drunk guy that we learn new lessons. and all thanks to itzy for being that nice.

I just said what is in my pov and *I think this video's motive is that to know our pov not an individual pov.* *You should also understand that when itzy is in a foreign country it's not their homeground where they have the authority. So if a public and or a fan is disrespectful it's not their responsibility to reprimand them. It's responsibility of his own people.
