When I was a little girl (probably about 5 or 6) and was still living in Zimbabwe, I remember going to watch a football game with my mom and dad. I absolutely love nature, animals, hiking, snakes, sharks, and all sorts of creatures, so your animal stories made my day. I’m researching animals right now, and I’m planning on going to the amazon rainforest and/or having a animal related job someday. Keep up the awesome animal stories! Ps, I have a pet Madagascar hissing cockroach, and my most amazing animal encounter was: One day, I was in a local forest, hiking up a curved trail near a lake for a nature day camp. Our group stopped to look out at the lake, to see if we could spot frogs, or other animals. We were silent for a small bit, so we could listen to the sounds of the lake, and the croaks of the lake frogs. We resume talking. All of the sudden, everyone stops talking. A loud squawking sound fills the air, as a HUGE HERON literally swoops down and splashes into the lake. Eventually, a kid coughed and it flew away. That experience was kinda magical. That was also the same day a kid fell into poison ivy and I had to rub sword fern leaves on their legs lol.
