Aww man the elite ones in south Azshara was my afk gold grind in Classic, killed thousands and thousands of them, all before the whelpling was added to their drops in TBC :(

There not really overly rare as might think, have farmed all the drop pets so far. All I got left to collect are cross from shat daily and the worse drop in game(next to baron mount) the pirate parrot. All of them took around 1k kills.whixh really isn't to hard to achieve. I will say worse of them all were disgusting oozeling with shit drop chance for bag and then again for pet drop

It's all rng though. I got my red whelpling in 10 minutes. People can spend days killing thousands of them and not get it. Luck of the draw.
