This has to be one of the scariest horror universes to be, imagine seeing yourself and others dying in a vision then having the entity of death hunting you down. Not like Ghostface or Jason, you can’t square up and defeat death since it’s basically just a force, I’d be living so paranoid 🤦🏾‍♂️

The movie had two different endings before the final version was completed (test audiences didn't like either). When Alex rescues Clear, the wire originally electrocutes him and he dies from the fire. It cuts ahead showing Clear has given birth to Alex's son (Alex and Clear had sex on the beach). Clear reunites with Carter at the Flight 180 memorial on a bright day, believing they won the chance of a "full life". Another ending involved a police helicopter crashing, decapitating Alex.

I saw this movie a year after it's release on the STARZ network with my family in January 2001, 20 years ago! We watched it and it's pretty insane on how someone who survived a terrible accident can die in such a brutal way. The movie was originally an episode of The X- Files, but it was changed during production. Some say this film takes place in the same Universe.

If I remember correctly the kid that plays Alex actually almost got hit by the bus at the end cuz he missed his mark or something. And the woman that played the teacher was actually in the house when it was on fire. They had her under the floor and her head sticking out of a hole in the floor and stuck a fake body on the floor so the knife can go through it. I think they lite only certain parts of the kitchen on fire for the shot and had guys close by with fire extinguishers or whatever though. I think she said something like she was happy they were trying to be safe about it but it still freaked her out a little cuz if something went wrong she would still be stuck under the floor so she had to put a lot trust in the guys with fire extinguishers. KEYWORD IS THINK!!! Its been a while since I watched the actors commentary on the DVD. I hope they got paid alot for this movie if thats true though!!!!!!!

This movie help build the horror franchise of the 00's it's such a classic film and a well known cast Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst was considered to play Alex and Clear and funny they would play Spider-Man and Mary Jane 2 years later in Spider-Man also Sarah Michelle Gellar was considered to play Clear but Ali Larter who is a underrated actress gor the role but nice reaction!

The movie that started the sequels and prequel off and even more coming this was something fresh what I like about the Final Destination franchise is that there is no killer killing people the killer is Death itself killing people and manipulating the environment this wasn't even suppose to been a franchise but this movie was so well received it had to have more movies expanding the story it has a good premise which why I love the movies I hope we get more we are getting a sixth movie though.
