A friend of mine used nozzle cleaners for burning Gear to open up the jets on his webber's. You can obviously only go up in size so be careful.

My dad has a 350 olds with a Magnuson MC220 twin supercharger setup with two Weber DCOE carbs. He has had a hard time getting it tuned correctly.

Just want to say hi and love your videos but can you plz make a video on how your KZbin channel started and a tour of the shop and your minis.

Thank you! I only have one mini. :-) But would love to do a tour video at some point.

I'm surprised it is that far out as generally Vmax jet to suit. Are you 100% sure it is not fuel supply? Just a thought mate.
@classicminidiy4 жыл бұрын
This was a dcoe45 provided by a wonderful viewer I was going to use with the vmax kit. Stuart has been helping me get it jetted since it wasn’t the one that was part of his full SC kit

My mechanical fuel pump was useless, solid facet was not enough, I needed to fit a large electric pump to get enough fuel rate. Will need trimmed to around 5psi however

An SU HIF 6 would work well with a suitable ram pipe. A lot less problematic and almost as much power
@classicminidiy4 жыл бұрын
The SU carbs unless mounted right up against the supercharger have an issue with carb icing on these setups or getting enough fuel up to the combustion chambers. The weber, with its pump jets actually is better at getting the fuel where it needs to be fast. :-)

Cant beat old school tech as it just works. What are you going to do with the sniper EFI I would love to play around with one of those on a DGV manifold and see what the difference would be on a dyno. Hiff44/HS6 pull vs Sniper efi

I actually sold it on to someone else to tinker with. Hopefully they end up having more luck than me. 😅

Been having some very similar issues with my setup, idles and revs fine but the second you put it under load it bogs down. Will try some slightly larger jets and stuff!
@MiniPerformance4 жыл бұрын
if the plugs are black its too rich which is what i thing of as bogging down,
@scarlettsgarage14 жыл бұрын
ideally you need to put it on a rolling road , or get a Wideband gauge so you can see what ares need adjusting
@jjmac35613 жыл бұрын
You shouldn't mount the weber solidly to the supercharger, you should use flexible mounts and Thackeray washers.
@classicminidiy3 жыл бұрын
Normally this is the case and you're totally right. However the maker of this kit actually specifically says not to use the flexible mounts on this application after years of testing it, and having better reliability and performance solidly mounting to the supercharger.

Hello there!! Fan of your videos!. I am i process with the same projekt. Do you now how much boost the supercharger makes?
@classicminidiy2 жыл бұрын
It all depends on your pulley sizes. I ended up moving to a turbo instead so I didn’t get a good read on what my boost was. Stuart at VMAX can help you figure out what pulley size you need based on your boost target.

Great stuff Cole, nice to see it all back together. Have you got to order the appropriate jets for the carb or take it to a tuner for them to recommend suitable ones?
@classicminidiy4 жыл бұрын
Thankfully I am working with Stuart pretty closely so he has helped me determine the right sizes to try next. I ordered basically all the sizes above what I have so I can test. Then I'll return what I don't use. I have the wideband in the car now so I can get pretty damn close in my driveway. Then I can get it a to an Alfa specialist locally to bring it the final stretch.
@andyfry19704 жыл бұрын
@@classicminidiy Hi Cole, thanks for replying... Sounds like Stuart has been really supportive in your build and I should imagine clients in general, big respect to him hey! What is the wideband? So you will be able to get it fairly close with the new jets and let the Alfa garage do the fine tuning?
@MiniPerformance4 жыл бұрын
@@classicminidiy Cant beat a bit of diy tuning, you can set up a camera(s) to monitor the afr and revs while you drive so you can see which bit of the rev range needs a tweak.
