Not sure if others noticed but this was actually the second time WOW was mentioned, when Kayaba said the above line it was at 4:29 but World of Warcraft was mentioned by one of the people who was speaking all at once when Kayaba accidentally muted himself. 4:02 "Come back to World of War Craft you guys, it's better I swear!" It's a small thing but not something I noticed on my first watch (or through like my 30th rewatch if I'm being honest haha) and I just thought that interesting. I would say the issue of wearing a helmet for over a year, selling a helmet that can kill you, and the fact that 90 percent of the people in the game didn't die in the first week when they starved because nobody found them in real life and because someone pulled the helmet off in the first day. Also let's not forget power outages, internet issues, and the fact that moving these people to a hospital would be insanely difficult to do. All of this on top of literally everything about the game and how it makes no sense.

One of my absolute favorite multi-episode jokes is one of the first jokes told in the whole series. Kirito says "I'm gonna burn this f**ker to the ground." Then, several episodes later, he says "Have you ever noticed this place has a real arson problem?" (close enough). I come back to watch this series every once in a while even when there isn't a new episode simply because the writing is so excellent. I laugh every time through.

I think this series was so well performed and written is that writing and performing was the only thing they had to work on. The forced creativity that the writers were put under, not being able to change the animation or the story made them put into into what they could do better. The writing is so amazingly quotable and funny and I’m glad that they did. They focused on what they were good at and it turned out *SO, SO, SO WELL.*
