I've done the math, it turns out you were un-fucking lucky. 0.075969140625 - around 8% Probability of neither Maelstrom of Basher proccing in what I counted as 4 hits :) So a casual 92% of the other attempts you would have killed Grim!

Is it that unlucky tho? If you think about it as 92% of players would have gotten that kill it sounds bad but if you think about it as one in every 13 players fails it doesnt seem that unlucky. (just thought it was funny because I got the same result but came to the opposite conclusion xD)

the thing is you cant just add up the probabilities of getting a maelstrom or a basher prock since they get evaluated separately. As you said we have to calculate the chance that neither of them procks for 4 hits which is (1-0.3)^4 * (1-0.25)^4

So, since Synthet asked. I'll try to do with my limited math knowledge. Basher has 25% to proc while Maelstrom has 30%. Synther got 4 hits in. If we only take in account for Basher. It was just a 1/4 chance for him to hit Grimstroke with a chance, or a 25% per hit, this is assuming that Dota doesn't have a hidden modifier that increases the chances per failed proc. As for the Maelstrom proc, you had a 24.01% chance to not being able to proc in 4 hits. Basically. Blame Ogre Magi for stealing your luck.
