Check out his solo stuff but also his two albums with the Steeldrivers. I never even liked country music until my fiancé introduced me to him. I'm blown away. He can sing the phone book and make it sound good. Peace!

That's what happens when people hear Beth Hart. Jeff Beck wanted Beth Hart to sing for a tribute to Buddy Guy. Jeff Beck had to convince the producer that even though she wasn't as famous as what the producer wanted that she was worth it. Beth sang, she got a standing ovation and then the Kennedy Centers Honors listed her performance has one of its top five. Beth even has Mylie Cyrus covering her and Joe Bonamassa's version of Bobby Bland's 1959 song I'll Take Care of You and probably inspired Drake and Rihanna to make Take Care which came out three months later after Beth and Joe released their cover.

POWERFULL! One must take into account that this is not some digitized voice from a recording studio, this is real f'n deal in front of live audience. An audience that became silent, drawn into the experience and feeling the pains he sings of. You feel what the blues sprang from.

The thing is, it's like that SNL skit with Tom Hanks on Black Jeopardy, where they realize how much they have in common. Poor folks, or just lower middle class folks, all go thru the same crap in this country, and about 90+% has absolutely nothing to do with what color your skin is. We all know what its like to have to choose which bill to pay sometimes, or which kid gets shoes when and which one has to wait for a bit, we all have worked for crappy bosses at jobs we'd love to quit, but can't because we need the paycheck or insurance plan, we all have junk drawers full of ketchup and soy sauce packets, cuz they were free, and who throws free crap away?!?! We have so much more in common because we're Americans, living in America, dealing with American problems, and those divide a LOT more along class and income lines than they do race, despite what our media, who WANTS to divide us because it is good for THEIR ratings to film us fighting each other, constantly tries to tell us. Before Obama, I thought racism was pretty much an isolated thing, yes there will always be racists, just like there will always be jerks, but we all seemed to get along better, you didn't have all this suspicion, or have New York Times writers bashing white people, or asking if it was OK for their kids to be friends with them. Seriously?!! A lot of people who voted for Obama also voted for Trump, yet now, all Trump voters are racist bigots, WTH?!? We as AMERICANS have to learn to see past that BS, because it hurts ALL of us, and we can do so much more united than apart.
