Поэтому я поставил дизлайк тебе. А главное в создании этой сумки не сшить её, а ПРИДУМАТЬ, что из старых джинсов можно сделать ТАКУЮ сумку. Правильно подобрать материал, видеть в голове будущий готовый результат - вот именно ЭТО называется ТВОРЧЕСТВО, и именно ЭТО несет на себе ауру ДИЗАЙНЕРА и делает вещь неповторимой. Конечно, до тех пор, пока те, кто сам придумать не может, не украдут саму идею. А уж сшить-то они сошьют, без проблем! Это изделие ценно тем, что оно АВТОРСКОЕ! А технической сложности оно вообще не представляет.

Our grandparents, great grandparents, did that for years. Taking what they had and making do with it. Men had a work set of overalls, a set of nice ones for church or special occasions, the women a day dress and a dress for church or special occasions. Kids ran around barefoot all summer. You had to make what you had do. Piling stuff on your kids just because you have a lot of money doesn't teach them anything except to want more. My brothers worked in the hay fields to earn money, and one brother picked pecans up by the 50lb. bag full to earn money for a car. This country throws out millions of tons of clothing every year. So when you go shopping do you really need it, or you just like it.

I'm a Zillenial (97), so consumerism was already booming during my childhood and teenage years. though not nearly as much as now. i'm definitely guilty as charged when it comes to my own consumption... but back then we got our first phones in grade 5 that could virtually do nothing except make and receive calls. we weren't glued to them, being bombarded with ads left and right. I remember being outside a lot and since I grew up rather poor, I can definitely relate to the idea of "make do with what you have". I hope, one day, people will rediscover the beauty of simplicity and being closer to nature instead of immerging themselves deeper and deeper into technology.

One of the best upcycles of a vintage item I've seen in a good while. And you honored the item rather than destroy it because you knew and understood the textile you were working with. I only say that because I've been seeing people cutting up vintage crocheted items lately and as a crocheter of 35 years those videos give me anxiety and make me feel queasy! lol
