Remember the first time you went to a show and saw your favorite band like Kalimba. You wore the shirt written Kalimba by hand using a highlighter pen... and sang every word. You didn't know anything about scene politics, haircuts, or what was cool. All you knew was that this music made you feel different from anyone you shared a locker with. Someone finally understood you. This is what music is about....bring back good memories

It reminds me in those days when we tried to sing along the song. We were singing like this: Sabwe zawanda, ooh sizooo. kkkkk this was a great master piece.

Such music never loses taste... It makes us proud internationally. Malawi would have been known worldwide by now if such was our way of singing.. Probably the government kills such instincts by not honouring the talent so as to let it glow lighter...

This is a great song malawi have ever had a South African friend of mine argued that this song was sung by Malawians,really puts Malawi on the map.

Global hit? That means it made the charts in Zimbabwe. They strike me as very Malawi Congress Party - smartly dressed clean cut chaps that Hastings Banda would have been happy to have as Malawi`s musical ambassadors. And of course, as the video illustrates, love is for the Azungu.
@chadeneneka68352 жыл бұрын
It made the charts in SA, the video is by contemporary artists, not original artists. About the rest of the comments, it’s just typical uninformed banter.
