Val- Do you think part of the reason why Jess self talks or asks the same questions is because she is speaking her internal thoughts out loud? Also to talk herself through things because of anxiety and the need for reassurance?

Yes, all of that in addition to echolalia.

Morning moods are everything.... my husband is a chatty Johnny in the mornings and I can’t stand it. 🥴 I have to tell him most days to stop!!! I NEED A COFFEE FIRST! Seriously! With you and Jess in this video it seems like you’re just tired and would rather not talk. (I get it) Jess on the other hand is all about it... ❤️it’s hard especially when you’re living with your kids or spouses... it’s hard! And you especially yourself with Jess who needs the answers immediately, you can’t just shut down and be by yourself. I feel ya. You’re an angel. You’re all angels in my eyes. And your tone is so soothing, There’s no wonder Jess loves you so much. There’s always going to be tough days and good days 💕 She sure managed that medication arranging near perfection. Good job nurse Jess! ❤️ The hardest job is being a Mom... but the blessings are endless. Summer is almost here and I think that’ll lift everyone’s moods ☀️ 🏊🏻♀️ 💦

I’m on the autism spectrum myself. I also have complex PTSD. And I have a physical disability that I don’t dare share publicly. A lot of the times in the morning, I’m very grumpy because of my CPTSD. I’m constantly having flashbacks and intrusive thoughts. And I don’t want to talk about what’s bothering me. I’d rather just bottle it up. I don’t really let my autism stop me from living my daily life. But the CPTSD can be a curse. And sometimes the physical disability that I have can be a curse. But I do try to force myself and make myself have a good day and be happy 24/7 no matter what.

I've said it before, and I'll keep saying it, Val. You are the most amazing mother. You really are. I wish I lived closer, so I could give you some respite. Does Jess understand when you say "you have to wait a minute", or if you tell her you need a few minutes peace? I can't imagine how mentally and physically exhausting it must be, to take care of Jess, night and day, every single day. You are the most amazing mother and caring person I've ever come across. 💜♥️💜♥️💜♥️💜 Sending love and hugs to you from Sheffield, England. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Even if I love love love my special needs child/adult more than life, I would still feel a resentment that it couldn’t be about me just sometimes....and then I’d feel guilty for feeling that resentment....and that’d happen over and over.
