DISCLAIMER:
I absolutely love the X100V. I've used it several times and it's amazing. I also have an XE4 which I love even more. Honestly, I became such a Fuji-fan over the past year or so and I love sharing all of the great things you can do with them!
I edited all of these photos in Lightroom. The RAW files out of Fujifilm's older cameras are absolutely fantastic to work with. I love it.
Gear Used:
OSMO Pocket v1
Fujifilm X100 Finepix
This video was edited in Davinci Resolve 18 with a little FilmConvert Nitrate just for kicks.

Solid video, well done. I bought a X-T3 in March for $600 and a X-E1 for $170 in early 2021. Used Fuji gear remains an outstanding value today. Thanks for sharing.

Just bought the X100 and gotta say, minus the non manual focusing with a true RF, I am enjoying it as much as my M10 honestly.

I have my late dad’s OG X100 in limited edition black paint. Only 10,000 made… who knows how many are still being used but his is. It’s a lot of fun. To your point, I shoot it *solely* in Monochrome-R (typically R) with a 20% cinebloom filter with harder shadows and highlights. I only use the OVF and never look at the pictures I take until I import them. Kind of like a film experience - of sorts. I of course have my own X100V, but yeah, the OG is how it all began… and seeing how it was my dad’s, I’ll never sell this specific camera. Too much history.

Couple of years ago I bought an x-e4 to get back to photography ... today I realise it is more than I need, but I like it because I can even use it as an old camera, depending on mood of tha day ... Thanks for shareing

I’m with you regarding your approach … my Fuji gear tops out at the XT2 …. Got the XE1 and XE2 too …. I like them as stress free walk around cameras, if I had a very expensive camera I’d just worry about dropping it breaking it … plus the menus do my head in anyway …this way I can just focus on getting into the zone and seeing images

I totally agree with you, i don't feel the same with high end cameras, and i find myself taking way less photos. That's why i keep shooting with my Sony a6000 and Fujifilm x100, they both are comfortable cameras for me.

Great images, thanks for sharing! The X-Pro3 and the X100V are my main gears and love them but the X100 changed my life as a photographer and so did the X-Pro1 as well and I still use them because I love their sensors. Great to know I'm not the only one who enjoys it 🙂 Cheers!

That's awesome! Down the line I think I'll pick up an X-Pro3 -- but for now, I'm going to stick with my XE4 and X100 OG. Thanks for the comment!

Definitely. Less is more, again. I bought a used X100T recently and it's exactly like you say. More creativity, more experiences with less technology and less stress.

I have an original x100…I really love it and hate it. I miss focus half the time…but when I get a good picture..it just looks GREAT

It's one of those things where, yeah, I absolutely understand why people love it -- but you're right. If it's not performing when you need it to, ehhh...

@@odfl1108 I use a little card reader for my older cameras. In your case, one from SD card to either lightning or USB-C.

This camera made realise that the 35mm focal length wasn't really right for me. But I much preferred the raw output from its conventional CMOS sensor over my later X-Pro1, because Lightroom could actually handle the files properly and it took many years for Adobe to take X-Trans even half-seriously. In the meantime, my foliage constantly looked as though it was covered in clingfilm. But anyway, despite it being a flawed, frustrating and rather experimental camera, you demonstrated that in capable hands the results can still be terrific. To be honest though, why you'd ever choose this over the X-E4 will remain a mystery, but each to his own.

Totally get that! But also, I have the XE4 as well. This bad boy is simply for bumming around. The XE4 is a favorite.

Does the X100 have more options than the X10 in terms of highlight, color and etc to make recipes?
@aaronsambeyfilm
@aaronsambeyfilm Жыл бұрын
Hey! They're the same! I'm not sure how much difference there is in terms of color rendition or dynamic range, either. You have a handful of recipes, control over highlights/shadows, white balance/shift and color.

Good video and goes to show that the camera isn't the important part. An old camera can still produce stunning results and that is down to the photographer.
