I worked in the Artic for a little while. Thanks for the memories of what it feels like: Somewhere between the moon and a dream. Your eyes can't process distance/proximity right because everything is white over white. You can hear the slightest noise or cracking from phenomenal distance simply because it is *dead silence* at all time. No leaves blowing in the wind. You can literally hear your own blood running over your internal eardrums. Its really unsettling at first and definitely not for everybody. But you get used to it.

Okay, I have to say this might just be my absolute favorite covers you've done thus far! You picked two songs that go super well together and don't even get me started on how nostalgic both are for me. Somewhere Over The Rainbow has been a song that I've loved since I was a baby. My grandmother who passed away on March 5th, 2020 made me a ceramic castle that had unicorns on it that rotated in and out of the castle when I was a baby. She added a wind up music box underneath it that played Somewhere Over The Rainbow and all through childhood I would play the song and watch the unicorns rotate anytime I was upset or anxious. I'm 40 yrs old now and I still have it although the music box is no longer with it and it's not in the best shape. When I was a year old my abusive father smashed it in a fit of anger but my Mom was able to glue it back together the best she could. I was also obsessed with The Wizard Of Oz as a kid so there's that as well. Both songs though were played a ton in my house by my Grandparents and Mom (she also passed away but on February 5th, 2019) so they're very meaningful for me and make me think of them. I really love that you chose to do these two songs with out being all dressed up like you normally do. Being dressed in plain clothes out in the middle of nowhere basically gave it a more raw feeling and it felt like you were showing us the real you. While I love your other covers, original songs and your normal attire, I sometimes feel like you hide behind it. I could really feel the emotions as you sang and I love that you took these two songs more seriously. Your voice sounds absolutely amazing which I think is something that sometimes gets lost when you add all the extra stuff to your videos. I also am a sucker for that Ukulele! I never realized how much I enjoyed it until you started using it in your covers and shorts! Amazing job! Hope you enjoyed your trip, what a fun thing to get to do!
