No one in America will discourage a lady he wants to marry in Ghana to stop going to nursing school. Nursing is the only program in Ghana which is transferable to America. Meaning with Nursing certification in Ghana, all you need to do is take the state board exam when you come to America and boom you are a registered nurse and start making over $100,000 a year.

You must be joking . Do you really think the nursing education in Ghana is the same as in any developed country? Who lied to you? There are people who did complete nursing education in Ghana but after their State board with exams in the US and were employed in the US, could not perform as expected. In any western country, your nursing education in Ghana is below standard besides, nurses in Ghana are not exposed to most of the equipment and procedures used in western hospitals .

I live in the States and I had my university education here and I can tell you that, at least my state, allows Ghana Nursing diploma as long as the person passes the state board nursing exam. All a Nurse in Ghana needs to do is have his or her transcript evaluated by the world education service and if the total credits meet the required credit to sit for the board, you are good to go. It is then up to the hospital which employs you to train you on the health computer systems you are talking about.
