I did as well and bought the album on tape. Despite the video appearing fairly regularly on BET's Rap City, the song got next to no radio play (at least in Philly). A shame, really.

I procured this album on import back in the day. Top notch and all killer and no filler. You can also see a poster of it on the first kid and play movie in the record store. When this came out, I thought it was wack. I didn't know what they were doing at the time. To enjoy this kind of song you needed a basic understanding of Hip Hop production. Most of us kids outside of New York knew nothing about that.
