What the hell are you on about? Jamie Kennedy is much better than Jim Carrey imo, he's way funnier, and owns the role.. also this film is much better than the original as well, for simple reasons... Easiest one being i'm completely lying this movie is an atrocity, and I cringed watching this trailer just like when I watched it when I was 16 years old, almost never recovered from actually watching the film. I love Jamie Kennedy, but lets just forget this movie exists.

I remember seeing the balloon head scene and the scene where the baby stretches and is pulled through the walls when I was really young and it traumatised me. They have been burned into my brain. Let explain to you why: These things you saw that made you feel traumatized are actually things that go on in a place called Hell. All these sick hellish scenes in the trailer with body parts being stretched beyond normal HUMAN extension are a demontration of what goes on in Hell with souls that are down there being tortured and just.....suffering. Hollywood is very sick by showing these things in a so-called "funny way". Bullspit: Anytime you see a "funny" cartoon or film with those things going on. Body parts being enlarged, pulled apart, contorted, and anything abnormal, JUST KNOW that all of that is what is going on in Hell to souls that are being tortured AND DOWN THERE IT AIN'T FUNNY. Oh, and the reason why you didn't feel right seeing those things is because, your spirit man did not like what is was seeing. It's all spiritual. That's why you were feeling traumatized.

masacatior I saw the trailer for this movie back in 2005 and I thought that it sucked after I saw the trailer. Jamie Kennedy is not a good replacement for Jim Carrey and Loki and Odin had nothing to do with the first movie. In fact, this entire movie has nothing to do with the first film and the mere existence of "Son of the Mask" is a continuity error in itself. When it comes to bad sequels, this one is on the top of the list. The last film ended with Stanley's dog retrieving the mask and swimming away with it and that's where this movie franchise should have ended. Some Hollywood filmmakers just don't know when to leave things alone and that's how obvious cash-grabs like this get created.

masacatior What's shocking is people actually saw the trailer for this movie and then they decided to go to the theater to watch it. As far as sequels and spinoffs go, I'd compare this to "The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2", "Evan Almighty" , and "Catwoman". The actor that portrayed Loki in this film looked like the brother of Pee Wee Herman and I highly doubt that Bob Hoskins would want to be remembered as Odin in this movie. "Son of the Mask" is a career killer and a franchise killer. It's basically "The Garbage Pail Kids Movie" of comedies.

masacatior The "Son of the Mask" trailer is even funnier when you change the video speed to 2. It makes the trailer look like it's on fast forward. The critics that give films Razzie nominations don't always watch the movies that they review but with this film, you don't have to watch the movie in order to figure out that it was dreadful. The trailer gives away all of the plot-holes and bad acting.
