This anime has given me a purpose and passion and a new outlook on life. It changed me completely. That poem that was recited in the previous episode was about “carving” love and kindness into everything around you and inside you. This anime has given me the willingness to do that and I’ve never been more proud to have changed into a more loving person because of a masterpiece show.

i myself see the hairstyles like memorials to thors and askeladd the long hairstyle totally resembles thors and his beard he has was totally like askeladds and now at the end of season 2 he has his old little thorfinn hairstyle coming full circle

Thorfinn's journey to Vinland begins. This Farmland/Slave Arc is honestly one of the best written and emotionally impactful arcs I've ever had the pleasure to read. Also, the anime absolutely knocked it out of the park. No spoilers, but if anyone is interested in reading the manga, start on chapter 101. The manga is in its final arc, so there's no better time to catch up than now.

The translation is a bit off for Ylva which made it confusing. She just says 何てやつが知らん！which just means "I don't know a guy like this/that" Don't know why the translator chose to translate it to "I don't know a Thorfinn"

Vinland Manga is still ongoing but is in it's final stretch. All-together, there should be enough manga for this to be about the half-way point of the anime. Another 2 full seasons should just about do it, and hopefully we'll be getting them soon.

Season 3 should come out by mid to end of 2026. In next season thorfinn will shine with so much brightness that it would make sun dull compare to his flame. He has grown but has still long way to go beyond where Thors went. Its been good farming with you. 🌾

1:28 thorfin is 25 in the manga and i believe here in the anime he is like 23 or 22

As beautiful as this all is I have to be honest it annoys me that the reunion is so blatantly aligned with japanese traditions, there is no way in hell a mumma bear like Helga wouldn't be hugging the crap out of her son the moment she realized it was him, most of us Scandinavians are big huggers when it comes to friends and family
