Not to be a debbie downer but i lived in the Tropics and the water is clear and has coral and vast species of fish. I live not to far from here and its version of Coral is beer cans at the bottom. The vast species of sea life are replaced with vast amount of mosquitos. It is still a great place and fun of course. I just dont think it is close to a Hawaiian paradise by any stretch. Unless the high prices are the same. 🤣 No seriously, its a fun place and the river has plenty of Turtles to chase. 🐢🐢

Also, its not "In the hill country." So much as its off IH10 near an overpass. The marketing department tried to make it look awesome but in reality, Texas has lots of parks and rivers to have BBQs at but the truth is, the water is from rivers that have lots of trash at the bottom, debra from flooding etc. Mosquitos 8 months of the year and the good spots are over taken by tourists. What makes a real Tropical paradise is diverse sea life, sun, good drinks and food. Which we have most of those things but in no way a tropical paradise. Unless you consider parking your car next to penis substitute of a truck with Texas plates and a pair of truck nutz hanging down a tropical paradise. 😄 Thats right, i said it. I have lived here my whole life except for some travel so i can poke fun. 🤣 But seriously, some places can be fun and with the right people, the right meats and the right grill master, a good time can be had.
