Her mother is White/European. I lived 7 years in Senegal, which completely surrounds The Gambia. American and European TV showed Alex Haley's Roots drama and, soon after, Ali Mazrui of Kenya produced The Africans, a controversial series with the theme that the continent was strongly influenced by weather and climate but also Islam. I studied under him at U Mich but these series are and have been widely distributed... Because African history is not taught. You dont realized she represent a massive "L" for a fallen empire. I am not American but we are brothers separated by borders and removed by brutal force from our lands and some as in my case move gradually to the Southern part of Africa and some remained in the North Eat of Africa which is where my father is from but my mother's side migrated south thousands of years ago.
