Wave is one of the 3 books I chose for my summer reading assignment. I am glad I chose the right book, because so far it's fantastic, beautifully written; in fact, this book reminds me of Night by Elie Wiesel, which is also a memoir. I am deeply sorry for your loss Ms. Deraniyagala, your family knows you will always be a brave and intelligent woman you were destined to be.

This woman is truly inspiring. Such a strong woman. I’m currently reading the book and I can’t find the right words to describe how painfully beautiful it is.

Read the book while on holiday in Sri Lanka. Great touching store. I'm reading the book for a second time. I just bought it in Canada and if we return to Sri Lanka we are sure to visit the location were this tragedy took place.
