Looks like many are mistaking Sonali's deadpan style for lack of confidence. If anything, you need tons of confidence to go there and deadpan through the awkward silence. Not saying this is an excellent set, I'm sure a few jokes didn't land as much as she'd have wanted to.

Saw her live yesterday, and that was my thought too. No flow between jokes and then towards the end she kind of passive aggressively blamed the audience for some of her flat jokes. Another comedian performed after her and killed it with same audience. But, she has better content than some of the other women comedians and hopefully her craft will get better with time.

alaynah rabail - I had the opposite reaction, The crowd missed a few, but she missed more, and the audience was warm and generous. I think she may improve tremendously with time, especially if she can make it clear that her silences are deliberate and not because she's forgotten part of her set. (That's a really long set for a beginner!)
