The same thing is true for people of Maharashtra, Bengal, Gujarat, Karnataka etc they know their state better than the other people. Enviorement is a problem everywhere, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad are overcrowded why should people of these cities allow others to come in and create more problems for them? More competition for Jobs, driving up land price etc, why? Why should the farmers in other part of the country work hard to drive down the food price, when someone from Ladakh can come and buy their land drive up the land price but they cant buy land in Ladakh? Some of the demands, yes! But their main demand is special status. aee magarhai tike padelna

Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to include Ladakh in the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution, granting law-making powers to local people to protect their land and cultural identity. The Sixth Schedule of Indian Constitution contains provisions related to the Administration of Tribal Areas like in the States of Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram. The Sixth Schedule provides for the administration of certain tribal areas as autonomous entities. However, some demand may be affact other states including Maharashtra, Rajasthan etc. as they have a demand of the same. However, central government can have a discussion with them, but it's also been noted that people of Kashmir valley also partipating & may be they are looking from all angles. Ladhak recently separated from J&K as UT with no vidhan shaba.
