Sir, I have been using my self made ecycle for last 4 months, i have to ride 56 km to go and come back from my school, i'm a primary school teacher, i have converted my student life cycle into this. I's running almost 65 km per charge, with a top speed of 30 km. I'm just loving it. The li-ion battary pack is doing great. Hope to inspire more people into the next gen of easy transportation. I have been saving around 2500 per month jus by using it. Which will certainly accumulate a sum of 25 lack plus within next 28 years, which will enable me to give my kid a better education. It's a game changer in my life. I would love to set up a facility to make more like this. If you can, plz help me in getting throw the' red tape' quickly, so that i can concentrate more on r&d for evehicles. Thank you sir. Indranil

I am a Delhi Citizen and I sold my Car two years back just because I found it not worthy keeping as I am a Freelancer Musician and I dint find it useful. So I brought a Honda Scooty instead for long rides in Delhi only as my work is only in Delhi/NCR. For small rides I brought a MTB Bicycle and use it. It's true In our country especially in Delhi people treat a Bicycle riders nothing and even make joke of us most of the time also the pollution level is so high to ride bicycle and breathing such air is like killing ourselves. But I must say after the COVID-19 pandemic the air is clear and people are taking their cycles with pride and I hope this mentality stay for rest of upcoming generations too........

you cant ride bike in so cal, may be recreationally on weekends but not for daily use, places are miles apart, my commute to work is 1hour and 25mins in car travelling 80-85miles an hour, can u imagine trying to do that on a bike good luck, bikes are posibble in newyork city its small and congested makes sense to use bikes, not in big expanded california.

I read almost half of the comments below, it is impressive to know that there are few people who are already contributing towards environment by using an eco-friendly transport system i.e bicycle. But it equally disappointed to know that few of the comments are just criticizing the Indian government and easily saying that it is just impossible in India . Why? Why is it impossible ... it is just because of our mentality... we feel ashame of using bicycle , instead of blaming others that people will laugh at us when we will use bicycles over car/motorcycle ... we have to change our mentality to feel ashame of anyones reaction. It is only then when we can change it from impossible to possible. And few comments here are saying that this cycle is not affordable its very costly ... but why we need to buy electric cycle only ... a non electric cycle is very affordable ... around 3-4k and any normal person can easlily ride it for 5-6 km or more in one go.

You're right. People in India blame the government for everything, whereas they should look at themselves first. Wherever I go, I either take the auto, the bus, just walk or I ride my mtb! That's the best thing! And, slowly people are understanding the value of bicycles in our country too. 1)It has been a month that my father has started using cycle for there job. 2) Try walking if short distance to be travelled 3) I am planning for solar power on grid in my home. 4) after this an electric 2-vehicle is planned for general usage. 5) I use my own stored plastic bag(polybags) for buying stuff, which I got them, instead of throwing them I am reusing them, thus reducing there usage, after there destruction time I would using cloth bag. 6) I have reduced usage of products which are not healthy and are using one time plastic usage, eg chips. 7) advice people to use of proper air travel, proper sun lighting ,thermal protection and water harvesting(rain to underground) for there new home, do this can reduce electricity cost, and save water 8) reduced usage of unnecessary electricity , and water. 9) advice to plant at least 1 Tree in there life.

@@inindia7831 I am just saying that temprature is much higher than it was 50 years ago, due to global warming, Temperature of nagpur achieves 40 degrees in June Summer. ( I think, 40 degrees is uncomfortable for most indians who are using car from a long time. ) This temperature can be reduced by reducing the use of polluting vehicles (such as car), So, we must have to use bicycles on Indian roads, I think, A motorcycle (petrol bike) can be easily replaced by electric cycle if government makes a law to reduce use of motorcycle.

Calculate CO2 emission per passenger per km. I assume only 50 passengers in that bus. Per passenger per KM Co2 emission is 10g

More cycles in winter... That's solution for two things 1. Heat 2. Most car accidents happen in foggy winter. But there must be separate lanes for cycles. Because it may be shocking but on Indian roads, majority of dead people are not car riders, but walking and cycling people as per govt data
