Practiced the first and second movements for 5 months and had it nearly perfected to not only develop 4 mouth sores but to completely trash the music and now I will never have the chance to play it again in high school. Absolutely loved this song and to anybody who can play this has my highest respects as a T-bone

I’ve listened to a bunch of trombone players play their interpretation of this sonata and this one is most certainly the best interpretation of the Telemann Sonata. Playing the 2nd movement for my college auditions. Congrats on a well done performance👍

Salvatore Quaratino I played the 2nd and 3rd about 1 year ago and I definitely agree with you. I wish I heard this before my audition... I made it but this would’ve helped me “set the mood” of the piece better.

I am playing this for 4 years now, starting when i was still new to the euphonium with a lot of cuts now to the full piece... I played it at about 5 contests and it always worked out... Love the piece and for you: Great Work!

For me the sixteenth notes in the second movement are the hardest part just because the range of high to low is a little bit tricky
@savannahstine70057 жыл бұрын
I’m performing this as my solo and ensemble high school piece, and your recording has been my go to for style and technique on this song! I like how you took the allegro on the second movement slightly under tempo - sounds much better when the sixteenth notes actually sound like notes and not just garbage! And your attention to articulation and stuff is just what I’m striving for!

@jorgefelipenieto9 күн бұрын
@ravenger2445 I think I was using a soft double tonguing in combination with some slurs in natural legato because fits better with the character of the movement. You can try different articulations to check what works better for you. And thanks a lot for listening to it!! Good luck with your prep!!!!

Thanks for your comment, it could be more accurate to the style and the era. This is recording is when I was still a young student, so I did not have enough knowledge to perform according to the style of the time of the piece as I would do it nowadays if I would have another chance to perform it.
