just started a 30 day secular music fast today, this album is an answer to a prayer that i didn't even think to pray for myself. 😩 i honestly didn't know if i'd be able to find anything similar to what i listened to but God in His sovereignty, love, & provision dropped this right in my lap!! thank you Sondae & thank You Lord!! 😭🙌🏾🤍

I’ve been thinking of doing the same thing, lately. By the end of your fast, did things change for you? I’m a HUGE music person and not listening to secular music for the rest of my life is incomprehensible. I’m sure it’s doable with God, though.

@@LittleMissSunshine721 it most DEFINITELY changed things for me, it honestly was longer than thirty days- more like a month & a half.. 😅 But I was just like you when I started, I can’t go a day without listening to music & I didn’t think I’d be able to survive without the secular music because I like the instrumentals & I felt like it resonated with my feelings more than worship music did.. or so I thought. After the fast, once I tried listening secular music again after having not for so long, it was so clear I had went on a soul cleanse because I literally couldn’t listen without feeling an immense amount of conviction & anxiety because the Holy Spirit made it clear even more clear what it was & had been doing to me for so long. All the deep sadness, anxiety, bitterness, sexual promiscuity/immorality I was experiencing & taking part in was directly rooted in all of the music I was ingesting. I don’t have a taste for it anymore & rarely do I listen to it still, but even if I do it’s country music when I clean lol because that’s the only secular music I can listen to without feeling like the actual life & energy has been drained from me.. but I barely listen to that it either because regardless love songs are too much as a single person who is not wanting to open myself up to discontent or bitterness or any of those other things again, even if it isn’t explicit like the other stuff. But I will tell you, I can’t listen to ANY of the secular music playlists I have anymore girl 😭 it has honestly completely changed my life & has led me to even give up social media too. I check my accounts every blue moon to see funny & food videos that my mom & sister send me but that’s it lol. I would recommend it to ANY & EVERY believer because like I said it has completely changed my life!!!

the song crying out reminded me of a time when I was doing that all night long to God. Finally God spoke to me and He said, "have you forgotten you've entered the thrown room?! Now stop praying in repetition." I went still, and then began to pray a very powerful prayer. It was a very powerful reminder for me.

little testimony. been going through a rough patch and felt convicted listening to secular music and a lot of christian artist just don’t fit my type of style of music/vibe. i got angry one day because i felt convicted and told God that most of christian music is cringey and just doesn’t fit me. today i clicked on this not knowing what it was but right away loved the vibe and tone. Jesus’s way of saying i hear you and showed me this.

i know im new to this album. i am 13 so im still going to public middle school. this past year as a 7th grader was weird. my friends would change. people would like me then wouldnt. just stuff like that. then i started getting into closer friendships like talking stages. and that really drifted me from god. i was cussing. doing bad stuff.
