Last saber video he seemed to tame my tip on the composite setting transparent thing. This one he didn’t see there is a flicker option in the saber effect. You should use it next time you use saber.

Bit of an issue here when I try this. At 2:30 when I change all layers to 3d the right hand saber disappears! Anyone else experiencing this strange phenomena? Fixed it by putting a small rotation on the x axis in 3d. Even an increase of 0.01 degree works. Bizarre, but true... Great tutorial always thanks v much - where is the amusing lady you introduced a few tutorials back? She was terrific, do we need a campaign to bring her back? KP

I also had this problem and you’ll be able to fix it in your Composition Settings. Under 3D Render make sure the Renderer is set to Classic 3D. I had mine set to Cinema 4D and it was causing all sorts of problems. Hope that helps for an 8 month old comment!

couldnt find the free saber effect on your description....

I can't get this to work. As soon as I hot the 3D buttons, some of the glows disappear. If I change their position on the 3D stage, they re-appear but send the perspective out. Then, if I try and scale down the null object the chevron doesn't disappear and I get a message saying null object value is less than zero. Confused much. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong.

at timestamp 3:44 when you were scaling your null object it wasnt working You forgot to tell everyone to change the camera view

Did After Effects get rid of video copilot? I don't have anything after Utility (purchased my AE right around when this tutorial was done). Also didn't generate the saber line when I searched "saber" on the effects searchbar & added that. Can anyone offer assistance? Thanks.
