Very true 'Meta' good Eg of a low pressure area above the canopy:-) I wonder how the lifting capabilities would be effected if the canopy blew off in flight?

I saw a video of a sonex crash caused by the canopy opening during climb out. Happened at D98 Romeo Michigan.

I dont agree we had a Jab 2200 on our Training aircraft, a Vision here in Australia, every man and his dog flew it , it was given no mercy and it went 2000 tbo no worries a great little engine.......

Why put anything that isn't a turbine in such a nice airplane. There are always concessions. Do you think he could afford a more "stereotypically reliable" engine? Maybe not. No piston engine on earth compares to a turbine in reliability, but they don't make turbines for every application and even if they did, could everyone afford one?
