Song of Susannah gets a lot of flack, but there is a lot of good stuff that happens in that book. So yeah, I enjoy this book every time I take the journey to the Dark Tower.

Whoa! I had no idea the mass market paperback editions made like a big panoramic painting when you put them together! That is so neat! :D Still, Song of Susannah was my least favorite of the Dark Tower books. It was the only one in the series that didn't have its own arc; it was pretty much all just setup for the final book. Its one saving grace was that it was the second shortest in the series.

I agree with you on cover choice. I prefer the hard cover choices but the SOS one is just OK. Love King bringing himself in the story. Father Callahan rocks!

Haha, I love this. Anyway, I thought it was awesome that Stephen King was in the story and it works in my mind. I thought it was actually brilliant. It's my favorite part of the book. It blew my mind and its one reason I think the Dark Tower is so brilliant!

Those book covers are amazing. Sort of like the Desperation/Regulators covers. Problem I see with them would be wanting to keep them on display but lacking the space to actually do so!

Everybody keep saying this is the worst book in the series,only thing that bothers me is not enough pages,i think it should be longer and nice intro to the grand finale,well ok i could use little more action but for people who like metaphysic and other sorts of miracules provided by sai King this is the true gem

Ive not read The Dark Tower series yet as Im new-ish to reading King books. Normally I'm all about hardcovers and rarely if ever a fan of mass market books but, the covers on these mass market books are way too tempting 😍

Had my eye on the Donald Grant hardbacks for a very short time, ones with decent dustcovers don't get cheaper than $50.

You're correct about one's own creations becoming real to you, to the extent you probably know inessential mundanities about them, what stores they shop at, where they eat and what they'd order off the menu. But the Devil told me never put that junk in the story.🌽
