The music is incredibly uplifting and euphoric. Maynard always uses his vocals well to compliment the song, he never wants to be front and centre of the group. The music on this album is so good that it doesn't need someone singing over the top of it through 10+ minute tracks.

One of the most technically skilled bands I have ever heard. Like many fans of music, I love Bach and classical music where it is complicated and intricate. I love Jazz. Bluegrass. I love the guitar gods of the 70s and 80s. I love the best drummers to ever shine in various genres of music. Collectively the Tool crew constantly invents, performs and rises to a level that really blows me away album after album. Maybe not prolific but brilliant nonetheless. I feel the same way. The tabla pad sounds much better, more natural than on the studio master. There seem to be a few changes to some of the fills, more of the North Indian influence perhaps, not sure though, could just be because of differences in the mix balance, though..

Sat Nam 🙏, in Sanskrit language breath is called String - String which binds material dimension with beyond. Body, and any other physical matter, cannot exist without its connection to beyond because its source is beyond. So everything breaths in its own designed way. We actually do not know at all what is breath, we just feel the sensation of air passing thru our respiratory organs so we think its breath, but in reality its much much more. Once the string is broken, body just collapses and you become disembodied, your perception rises manyfolds because 5 senses are not obscuring the reality anymore. BUT all the bodily tools which we were using thru the lifetime are gone, most notably discriminatory part of the mind, so what remain are tendencies and you continue to move by them. As majority of people are identified with their body for their whole human life time, initial tendency is to get back in it, but it is impossible as that body is not capable to sustain life anymore (in many cultures first thing what people do with dead bodies is bring together the legs, even tie up the big toes, as between the legs is the path where life wants to get back into the body). Most of the “enlightments” (seeing the reality as it really is) if someone is conscious enough happen in this moment. Conscious contact with other disembodied and divine beings becomes possible. So it is very important you increase your perception and open yourself to truth before string is broken, while you still have discriminatory part of mind (still be a human - Lateralus), otherwise risk of delusion is high and you can’t retain balanced connection with the source for long, you fall back away from source again and by tendencies reach out to available womb to be born again as human being. Time and again, game restarts. If accumulated karma is very bad (killers...), this process can be very suffering in its delusion (hell?) and you may be even incapable of reaching the human womb, so you fall further down. If accumulated karma is generally good, this process can be very pleasant (heaven?) but it is still delusion and in one moment you need to re-born. Fortunately nature designed several levels of screens, so we don't remember our previous human lives, otherwise our mental structure would collapse as most of the people do not have that mental strength to discriminate between many mixed memories. Unfortunately with some people these screens are not working, so there are medical records where people with split personality disorder had even up to 30 split personalities (30 lifetimes mixed?). DON'T RAISE YOUR PERCEPTION BY CHEMICALS, VERY IMPORTANT as by it you are skipping many necessary preparatory steps, and risk is high to collect bad karma, even if experience is pleasant it may lead to delusions and certainly addiction. Then how to raise our perception? - do it naturally, slowly, step by step, daily discipline, pay attention to life, include life, exclude psychological dramas, enjoy in silence, listen the music, enjoy in arts, eat healthy, avoid nerve stimulants (coffee, alcohol, tobacco, chilly, sweets), take care of body as it is foundation for strong mind, be active but not hyperactive, look into the sun when UV rays are low (early morning, late afternoon), enjoy in Moon's reflections (its romance with the Sun), be grateful to Cosmos for keeping you and all the planets and stars in place, choose carefully your relationships, don’t sleep with anybody just because you can, respect other life, kill and eat only what you really must... simply LIVE, and remember always THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS DEATH, DEATH IS A COSMIC JOKE, DELUSION OF OUR LIMITED MIND, THERE IS ONLY LIFE AND LIFE! Sat Nam 🙏

Psyche, pneuma, soma, sarx = Soul, breath (spirit), mind, body. In the bible, the Hebrew/Aramaic word for spirit is ruach (spirit or the emotional part of the soul in qabalah), which was rendered as pneuma in the Septuagint. When it was translated into the Latin Vulgate, pneuma was translated to spiritus, whose root is spiró, spiráre, to breathe. In all senses, ruh, from Semitic roots, refers to the animating principle of the human being.

Bible translations gives us these insights: The Greek pneuʹma (spirit) comes from pneʹo, meaning “breathe or blow,” and the Hebrew ruʹach (spirit) is believed to come from a root having the same meaning. ... Ruʹach and pneuʹma, then, basically mean “breath” but have extended meanings beyond that basic sense.(Hebrew ruʹach; Greek pneuʹma), or life-force, of man

Spirit is eternal, but bound in the flesh, as if 1 foot is nailed down, and we're just doing laps round and round. The body dies, then the spirit is freed and given a new, spiritual body that is eternal, for better or worse. 1 breath, 1 word (God blew the breath of lives into Adam's flesh body, and in that was the seed for every other life. Remember, God knew us all b4 he founded the earth, and he made the earth for us to have dominion over. When Adam ate the forbidden fruit, he gave that dominion to Satan. Jesus had to come and live, die, go to Hell, whoop Satan's rump, freed the captives in hades, took them to Paradise, then rose again on earth, but I digress). We all came from that 1 breath that God breathed into Adam's nostrils. We are all 1. Stop fighting and be 1, for God's sake. This is how I view this song
