I don't understand why so few people are watching you, you deserve so much more :)

Hi Sumi. It's quite a new channel, so I am sure it will come sooner or later. I am just doing it because I enjoy it and hopefully I can give back something to the guitar community - a community that has given me so much over the years. If just one person finds it helpful, then my "mission" is fulfilled. ! :-) Thanks for stopping by once again. It is much appreciated!

You can check the description for the backing track. Otherwise there are lots of great backing tracks here on KZbin!

Great channel -- interesting arrangements but not too hard to discourage someone starting on jazz guitar. Thanks!

Thanks for the kind words, Jay. Just like the conclusion of your analysis my goal is to show the very basic themes of the standards (without too many artistic liberties, which of course you would start to do at some point in your musical career) and more advanced solo ideas that people can steal from as much as they like. :-)

I can't figure out why when the song arrived in the US American musicians moved the key. Brazilians so I've read, kind of look down on the key change. Do you know why it was moved?

Sorry, I was referring to "girl from Ipanima"

I guess it is because it was written as in F major for the Real Book. People used to Real Book a lot and therefore F major instead of D flat major became the standard. I don't know though, so it is just a guess! :-)
