Everything they suggest here makes it sound like Songque was successful in creating a Sigularity with the Astral Ring and it now effectively acts much the same way for her that a herrscher core does in Herrschers. After all, the ritual was designed by Baiji to turn himself into a 'deity'. I am pretty sure at this point Songque survived.

Songque story and the Shus will continue beyond chapter 3. Don't listen to those clueless that say they don't matter or don't exist because of the - SPOILER - recent story development in the Ch.3 interlude about the "dream" or "simulation" How do I know they'll continue? 1. The Shus is a crucial figure in both Oxia and Langqiu, and even possibly the entire Antares. 2. Even if they go to different places, this story is about Mars, The Anchor of The Apocalypse, and The Astral Ring is arguably the two most important objects pertaining to Mars, and The Shus has strong association and knowledge with those two objects. 3. Ajita is still hanging high in the story. Sooner or later we'll meet Ajita in the flesh. 4. After what happened in the interlude, there's even more mystery on where are the Shus now, and how are they. TLDR, Songque and the Shus isn't going anywhere. They'll be back. It may not be the next chapter, but they will, sooner or later.

Quick question: Why does this Songque have Perception's eyes? I mean, we saw what Songque looks like with this outfit before, and her eyes were still blue. Here they're the color that differentiated her from Perception! Guess I'll have to go back and see if I missed something!

Perception's eyes are red and orange in the mid, But i guess after the fight, Songque got powers and tge color of her eyes are reversed to perception (orange and red in the mid)..

Basically I suspect it is tied to the Authority of Shadows. The ritual Songque was trying to pull off is the same one Baiji attempted and failed by effectively creating a singularity within the Zodiac Astral Ring by concentrating all the shadows into it (the Shadows as manifestations of Honkai energy). Succeeding in this effectively turned the Zodiac Astral Ring into something akin to a Herrscher core and turned Songque into something akin to a Herrscher. Thinking of it that way, and the fact that eyes changing color is pretty normal for herrschers, it isn't really suprising that Songque's 'herrscher form' has eyes that have a color closer to the original manifestation of the Authority of Shadows. At least that is my take on it.

Honestly, Songque probably the only character in Part 2 story that has good written as a character. it probably because she's the only character that truly act like a normal person. Most of Honkai Impact 3rd character is just a normal person, even Kevin is more normal than thelema and Seraphim.

@@himalkanwar77 Thelema story is okay but I still not happy how they write Serapeum story. Lantern story isn't even a story, its just to troll Trio into thinking they can understand her. Litost story isn't bad but it was written to confuse us when it actually its not that complicated. Ajita doesn't have story, but she was the most easy to understand despite has little material. Baiji surprisingly has little material than Litost despite been leader of Shu. And for some reason, I've never seen Baiji talk with Serapeum directly in this entire arc (Except during Thelema become part of Serapeum Union)

Ajita will almost certianly have more to her later since Baiju pretty much says that leaving her body behind isn't much of a challange and her whole deal with perception was for perception to protect her body after she left it to search the Sea of Data. I do wonder if Serapeum and Thelma are permentantly depowered of if their power returns after Songque inherets the Authority of Shadows.

Probably because they aren't sure it is worth the investment in making a port, particularly since the age of the game and the lack of english voice acting would impact its success in the west. The game has an amazing story but some of the oldest gameplay is a bit basic and dated and the game is very wordy with a lot of complex ideas so for English audiances it is a lot of reading to really understand what is going on.

To be fair, Entropy and Sena are probably the real MCs of part 2 and honestly, we don't know enough about Sena yet to make a fair judgement. It has only been 3 chapters. In part 1 it took much longer for some characters to really get some fleshing out. Honestly, I didn't find Mei or Bronya that interesting until they had the chapters that focused on them and what really built up Himeko as a character prior to the 'Final Lesson' were the chapters directly prior to it. Don't get me wrong, I love all the part one characters, but it took time for them to become the characters they are so I am willing to give these new characters some time to be fleshed out.

don't get me wrong, I'm incredibly excited for Songque, I love her, but seeing devs explaining why certain aspects of the design and animations fit her lore is so weird when it is identical to the Perception boss fight in those aspects. Perception copied her aesthetic, sure I guess, but there's no reason they would have the same animations, weapon, eyes, screens, etc. So when the devs are explaining why it all fits Songque perfectly, it feels like either that is bullshit for her, or probably more likely it just means that the similar designs for Perception were just convenience/bullshit.

In story I think they said it's related to the rite of tears, although they only say this briefly and without further explanation. It probably was convenient but if I had to guess a lore based reason it's to do with the rite of tears power over shadows. Perception herself also asked if it was because she spent so much time with songque when she first appears in langqiu. So multiple possibilities I guess.
