This was the first album of your dad's that I got. I was just coming back to country music after mostly listening to hair bands through the late 80s. Couldn't get on board with the rock of the 90s and Garth (and others) was bringing this new energy to country music. I'd been raised on it by my dad, who was a singer and played in a lot of country bands. I actually got to tell Garth that in person a few years ago. My wife won a chance to sit down with him and Trisha before a concert. Highlight of my life. And just like I told Garth, the first time I heard "Hooked On An 8 Second Ride", I felt like I'd found perfection. The next few albums you're about to get to are some of my favorite music I've ever heard.

Can't begin to tell you how much I enjoy these acoustic renditions of these great songs. You are every bit as gifted as your Father and I am sure he is smiling and singing along with you from a beautiful hilltop up in Heaven.

Thank you Ned that was great! I met your dad in Kalispell Montana at Western Outdoor Before he was famous. He shook my hand and said my name is Chris Ledoux, don't forget that.

It's bittersweet getting down toward the end of your dad's catalogue. Every album, every song, every note has special meaning to me, having grown up listened to every one and dreaming about being a cowboy. Finally being out here and living it, it makes me look up at Heaven, hope your dad just might happen to hear me, and say, "It's everything you sang it was."

You and your dad are my favorites ever. I love these videos and can't believe they don't have more views. Much love from Clyde, Ohio. I hope you get out our way sometime, I'd really enjoy taking in one of your shows.

Still listening to you dads stuff riding down the road in this truck. Of course, tonight before I pull down my road going home, I'll have to play " old paint".

You'll probably never see this but I have to share it. I had a good friend at K-state that had a 1st gen Dodge Cummins truck that was absolutely his baby. He Armoralled that ugly gold bastard till the inside was shining. I was riding with him one day and noticed a small part of the dash that wasn't shiny and didn't match at all. Then I noticed your dad's signature on it. I commented to my buddy that there must be a hell of story behind that. He told me that he and his dad went mule deer hunting in WY and they were fueling up in Kaycee and your dad was at the same pump across from them. They got to talking to him and he asked if they'd like his signature. They said we don't really have nothing good to sign so he signed their truck, lol! He said he was just as nice and genuine a guy as you could ever hope to meet and that he will NEVER part with the truck. I believe it's on it's 3rd motor, he's stayed true to his word! I've had the pleasure to see you perform twice. Once in an absolute downpour in an old barn pavillion in Cedar Vale,KS. You came out on stage and said "That owl is scarier than hell" that someone had hung overhead to scare birds outta the rafters, it was missing its head, lol. Saw you again at Wichita Union Stockyards. My wife and I stood in front of the stage with your family, great folks! This is my favorite song of your dad's. I've seen Jamey Johnson, Casey Donahew, Randy Rogers, Hank Williams Jr, Ryan Bingham and many others but nothing like the show you put on. You've made your dad proud!

Wasn't little long haired outlaw redone on this album? As well as call of the wild? Either way, good job cowboy.
