Fine music and shall I say equally fine essaying of a Bonds piece set to a Langston Hughes poem .I must find out more . Did Bonds and Hughes know each other ? They were contemporaries . I must find out more about her . The great composer George Walker a fantastic pianist may have played her works -that too I must find some of his programmes . Maybe his son who he wrote a fine violin concerto for and who is presently the Denver Phil's concertmaster has posted some of these or maybe there is an archive of related material !

Bonds and Hughes were close friends; there is 30 years worth of correspondence between them, and you can find it in the collections at the Georgetown University Library and the Yale Beinecke library!
