Barya 2: The Cost of Deeds on overwhelming difficulty
This mission would be way faster if you didn't need to pick up so many resources for recruiting & upgrading units for the final fight against Itchamo. I f I ignore most resources I can get to Itchamo at round 21. But it seems impossible for me to win this with what I get in this route. So instead I take 7 extra turns picking up extra resources & experience. This time it was actually pretty easy, so I guess 26/27 rounds should be easily doable with some cuts.
Most early fights are actually easy with just a few losses depending how lucky you get with terrain. My main strat is to get Dire Dreaths & Artificers. So that's the buildings I'm doing in those 4 settlements.
The first real challenge is Lady Hammond and apparently she can have 2 stacks of 10 Knights/Fists if I'm too slow (or unlucky). But in this run she only had 1 Fists stack and I had preferable terrain, so that was easy.
Before Nimander I recruit everything I can at the "Mother's Tears" settlement. Interesting was the Nimander fight, because for some reason he was level 5... I think he's supposed to be level 13!
The fight at the ember mine against the Arleon knights is optional for experience & gold.
Afterward I recruit everything I can at "Miner's Return" with the Rally Point and scrap buildings in other settlements for money.
I already talked about Itchamo: tough fight usually, the main blocking point for doing this mission in less rounds. In autobattle the AI behaves stupidly against the Burrowers so they get easy hits in. This was actually the 1st time I got an autobattle win against Itchamo on overwhelming. But I did the battle afterwards anyways :-p
