Back to this thing again after half a year, might post a few more in the near future, might not, time will tell. This build focuses on combining the no retaliation aura of the horsies (from research) with Blind Hatred for massive physical damage. Lykts are solid supporting units throughout the game, though for wielder battles they can be too vulnerable to AoE nukes, so researched Grym might be better in those cases to ensure longevity. The trolls also do solid melee damage and won't be retaliated on if the enemy is next to a stack of horses, so there's some additional synergy in there. Haemnd is the wielder of choice here as she can quite reliably get Chaos Magic, which is crucial for chomp-maxxing (though it was acquired quite late in this one unfortunately). Plus she has a cat companion, which instantly puts her into S tier. Obviously you can also build her for more spell damage, which is probably even better for creeping, but that's boring AF so we don't do it here. Double producing and upgrading these units is stupid expensive, so Raider could be a solid skill choice for the additional battle loot. Or the wielder that specializes in battle looting, Girighet or whatever their name is.

Great video man, love these one Wielder challengs. Helps me learn too, I only play against Challenging bots, never tried Deadly (having difficulties with the previous one). Nice to see OP strats for Vanir already developed xd. What is your favourite goto strat btw? Would love to know. Also would like to see you play Gnaw going for Queen's guards, since that is my fav. Keep up the good work :)

The AI is quite inconsistent even on Deadly, sometimes it fields an actually decent army, other times they pull up with Troubadours and Rangers. To be honest, on smaller maps, the Deadly AI is a chore to play against because you need to abuse the game as much as possible, which is just not really fun IMO. As for go-to strats, I used to like doing Faey Kweens with Ravenfayre, or Fisters with Hammond, as well as Seneschals or other undead with Wiesh. Neither of these are top-tier strats for their factions, but I like the mixed might and magic approach they allow. I saw the recent starting army changes for Gnaw, might try him one of these days! Just a bit occupied with Vanir currently.
