Somebody ought to point out that Katisha was the Mikado's Daughter-in-law Elect, not his Daughter-in-Lore Elect!

So very nice!! Thank you for posting this so even on the other side of "the pond" we can relish what must truly rank high among the many British cultural contributions to the wider world. I'm so glad I was raised humming and singing these charming tunes. And I love that people of faith have done this. Blessings from Los Angeles.

I was lucky enough to be involved in the 2011 festival (travelling half way across the globe from Australia) and to my knowledge we had nothing like this! :(

It's because it's not part of the festival directly, Songs of Praise is a TV Show.

This is just so wonderful! Here in America, people wear costumes and attend science fiction and comic cons (conventions). In the UK, there are Gilbert and Sullivan cons like that! I'd trade places in a heartbeat!

I love hymns, but S.O.P. can be a little... boring. This is certainly a great way to liven it up, particularly with G & S Legends John Reed and Michael Rayner in attendance!
