Songs of the American Toad

This is one of my favorite sounds. It makes me sleepy. These guys have been singing me to sleep every spring as long as I can remember.

We played this for our pet America toad. He joined in.. just to clarify, our toad is a rescue. We found him 2 years ago and his front legs were severely deformed. A herpetologist friend of ours helped us nurse him back to health. Problem is he became so tamed that our friend told us she would not survive in the wild. So he has a large pen in the south window of our den and spoiled he is.
