I have only recently discovered Songs: Ohia. I can't quite comprehend that Jason Molina is no longer with us. Because he is. I listened to this song over and over and over before I knew he died. But surely that means a soul and spirit is alive in some way if they keep going and keep making an impact on people? What a wonderful artist.

RIP
@Catherinedahl-vl2inАй бұрын
I agree. Except I'd be remiss not to point out coal and gasoline are fossil fuels entirely. First source. The sun burns the fossils of everything but only after they've been devoured and decomposed, particulate matter then combustion material after a long long geologic epoch. Jason is definitely one of the most talented writers, guitar players and his voice is beautiful yet so eerie and foreboding at the same time.
@Catherinedahl-vl2inАй бұрын
Just a Geologist and song writer over here being picky. I just don't like when something confusing but beautiful is out there without a fore or after word about the scientific truth. I know that doesn't matter in music but I think we should try to make it. Some never will Google orattend an earth science class but they might listen to this musical genius; may he rest in peace. My husband died the exact same way a few years after him, in Indy a couple miles away from Muenster.
@Catherinedahl-vl2inАй бұрын
He is not wrong. Just that we group the sun in the controversial broad renewable energy category and fossil fuels like oil and gas in fossil fuel category. I personally fell in love with the lyrics to the lioness years ago and just recently learned he passed away Tortured soul it seems. But so happy performing 😢
