So hee has been learning traditional Korean music (Gugak) since she was a child, I think Korea is very lucky to have a young girl like her pursue such a hard and important genre with such a long history.

한국 국악은 노래에 영혼을 담아내야 한다는 말이 있죠... 옛부터 국악의 모토가 영혼을 담아내야 한다를 하다보니 여기까지 왔다 봅니다. 서양 사람들에게 국악은 이상할수 있습니다. 하지만 현대 국악은 조금씩 발전하여 서양사람들도 빠저들수 있게끔 발전하는 과정이라 생각해 봅니다. 우리것만 강요하는게 아닌 우리것에 서양것을 가미하는 방식으로 발전해가고 있습니다.

I wish they had subtitle but WOW you comprehend nearly everything. She seems one of gifted genius. Born in 1997, started professionally practicing at age 5, first appeared to public in grade 1 then won 1st place on tv show in grade 5. I am happy to see her enjoying traditional singing, and it's not easy to see them on media..probably couple thousands traditional musicians are struggling, harder then kpop idols. To be successful, of cause, they have to be good at their profession skill, at the same time attractive or pretty, with good positive vibe. Sorry for the long comment, finally I have to admit most of my favorite singers are pretty girls 😅

Yeah, Killing Voice only sometimes have subs. Even big names don't get subs sometimes 😕 ah, I wasn't sure how much I understood 😅 oh, started at 5?? WOW..but it shows 😁 Sadly traditional music isn't for everyone and can be hard to showcase, that's why Immortal song is so good 😊😉 Hope killing voice gets her new fans and more people interested in traditional music. Nah, I like getting long comments 😉
