The thing that sets them apart from the other new groups doing the Y2K/R&B thing is that with XG it doesn’t feel forced. Like this isn’t just the company saying, “hey this genre is in trend so do this” R&B/HipHop is in their core identity! They listen to it in the car and in their free time, just look at the artists they are naming. We’ve NEVER heard the other girlies mention those names. I feel a level of genuineness from them that I don’t get with the other groups and that’s no shade. These girls are gonna go far and they have my full support 🫶🏾

Right. This group is so well concepted by the company, and the most important thing is that the girls are actually enjoying it. They've been training since 2017, i guess that time they started to know the 90s R&B and hiphop, so definitely they don't just suddenly jump on the trend, but they've been preparing to this for a long time. I'm so excited to see more of their works.

These were artists I had on replay when I was in high school back in the late 90's early 00's (yes, I'm that old). So glad to see them begin to gain more recognition. I am not into KPop/ JPop at all but this is something that goes beyond. It's so clear that their core identity is based on RnB and hip hop, they delivered 110%. The quality of their originals and also the rap songs on old instrumentals is TOP NOTCH. So glad young female artists are smashing the world. Keep goin'!!

XG isn't getting the hype that they deserve. They literally can do ANYTHING. These girls are amazing individually and even better as a group. I have been a stan of different groups throughout the years, but, I can definitely say that they are 1 of the most well rounded group. R&B and hiphop suits them and it feels like it's natural to them, like they really listen to the genre and really love it. I honestly do not have a bias because I love them all so much. p.s im hoping Juria and Chisa cover The Boy is Mine by Brandy and Monica, I think they would pop off with the vocals, riffs and runs. STAN XG!!!! You wont regret it.

This is MY gg. I listen to mostly 90s/00s hip & R&B which is what got me into BTS. I fell in love with their earlier music but, as I delved deeper, I fell in love with their overall artistry and many more things about them. I feel like I'm following a very similar path with XG. OMG when they started singing Scrubs by TLC and mentioned Aaliyah Lauren Hill, I got goosebumps and just went back in time, they really know about Soul,R&B,HipHop, Aaliyah was the Y2K style queen back in the day and when I see these perform they do remind me of the R&B of TLC,Blaque,SWV,En Vogue and the POP of Spice Girls,Britney and Christina, can’t wait for the album definitely will support them. One of the reasons R&B and Hip-Hop come naturally to XG is they grew up w/ it. Japan is the 2nd largest music industry after the US so many American artists from Heavy Metal, Rock, Jazz, Soul to Pop, R&B and Hip-Hop toured in Japan at the height of its popularity. Fujiwara brought the old school hip-hop to Japan in the 80s. The fashion-obsession of the youth culture inspired by post-war Ura-Harajuku style influenced the music culture even in the US. The authentic 90s and early 2000s fashion styling on XG shows this influence that’s why it feels and looks authentic. So excited for XG’s forthcoming album. ❤ #StanXG

Yeah it's crazy in the early 90's Japan was doing pure Hiphop like B-boys, Djing, Graffiti and MC-ing however not mainstream.. Few years after, Japanese entertainment soon picked that up and made shows to showcase the culture specifically Super Chample, Dance Koshien etc.. That's why the OG Hiphop founders and creators are going back and forth to Japan.. Tony Gogo, one of the OG lockers even had a family there and made his twin sons one of the legendary lockers in this era.

Chisa briefly mentioned TLC in their behind the scene of Left Right MV which made me confirm my hunch that THESE GIRLS are really heavily influenced by '90s RnB and Hiphop and they DO actually listen to them and get inspirations from them and that its not just for clout that they're doing all of these. Also that one interview where they said they always wanted to make a MV inspired by Spice Girls and now we get Left Right MV which all colors they used reminds me of Spice Girls Wannabe music video.
